Custom Frosted Plastic Cups: The Soft-Touch Upgrade

Clear is fine; frosted is styled. We print custom frosted plastic cups — the matte, soft-touch cup that makes iced drinks glow — with your logo, monogram or art, by the sleeve for a party or by the pallet for a venue.

The complete guide

Everything you need to know about custom frosted plastic cups

The frosted cup is the event world’s quiet flex: a matte, satin-touch surface that diffuses light, flatters whatever’s poured into it, and photographs like set styling instead of stadium concession. Print on frosted and the ink seems to float — it’s the most designed-looking disposable there is.

Ordering well means the right size mix for the drinks served, print coverage that suits the art, and the reusable-grade weight that matches the event tier. This guide covers sizes, materials, printing and bulk math — then a custom quote locks in your design.

Why go custom

The cup that upgrades every drink in it

A custom frosted cup is event styling disguised as drinkware — the matte surface makes iced coffee, cocktails and lemonade all look intentional, and your printed mark rides in every guest photo.

Flatters every pour

The frost diffuses light through the drink — iced anything looks like a menu photo.

Print floats on matte

Ink on frosted reads crisp and premium — logos look silk-screened, not stamped.

Sturdy enough to keep

Reusable-grade PP survives the dishwasher — guests take them home, and the brand goes along.

Sizes and servings

Cup sizes: match the cup to the pour

Every drink has its cup: 12 oz for coffee and kids, 16 oz for the universal serve, 20+ for smoothies and stadium pours. Here’s the lineup.

Serving fit by cup size (oz)

0 6 12 18 24 12 oz Coffee & kids 16 oz Event pick 20 oz Smoothies 24 oz Big pours

16 oz covers cocktails, sodas and iced coffee alike — if you’re printing one size, it’s this one.

Cups per guest (event planning math)

Guests lose cups — order a third more than the headcount math says and thank yourself at hour three.

Materials

Reusable-grade PP with the frost built in

Our frosted cups mold from polypropylene (PP) with the matte texture in the material itself — not a coating that wears off. PP is the reusable-cup resin: dishwasher-tolerant, crack-resistant when dropped, and BPA-free by nature of the plastic.

Inks cure onto the frosted surface for a finish that survives condensation, ice buckets and the ride home in a purse. The result is a disposable that most guests treat as a keeper — which is the best possible fate for your printing.

  • Polypropylene body — the reusable-cup resin
  • Molded-in frost — matte that can’t wear off
  • BPA-free — inherent to PP
  • Dishwasher-tolerant — top-rack keeper grade
  • Cured inks — condensation-proof printing
  • Stackable design — sleeves store and serve fast

Stylist rule: pale frost + one dark ink is the premium look; save multi-color wraps for art-forward events.

How frosted cup pricing works

Cups price per piece by size, ink colors and quantity — single-color prints at case volume rival plain-cup retail prices, and the print plate is one-time, so reorders drop further.

FAQ

Frosted cup questions, answered

What makes frosted cups different from clear?
The molded-in matte texture — it diffuses light so drinks glow instead of glare, feels soft in the hand, and gives print a silk-screened look. It’s the difference between concession and styled.
Are the cups actually reusable?
Yes — PP is the same resin as reusable stadium cups; they’re top-rack dishwasher tolerant and most guests keep them. Plan on some of your order living in cupboards for years.
What's the minimum order?
100 cups — one party sleeve. Pricing improves at 500, 2,000 and 10,000; venues and cafes order by the case or pallet.
Will condensation or ice ruin the printing?
No — inks cure onto the frost and are condensation-proof; a night in an ice bucket doesn’t lift them. The print outlasts the party by years.
Are they BPA-free and food-safe?
Yes — polypropylene is BPA-free by nature, and cups are produced food-contact compliant. Cold and ambient drinks are their lane; they’re not for hot coffee.
Can we get lids and straws to match?
Yes — flat and dome lids fit each size, with straw packs available. Coffee and smoothie operations typically order cups, lids and straws as one line.
Can you print full-color designs?
Yes — from one-color logos to full-wrap multi-color art. Fine gradients render slightly softened by the frost texture — the proof shows exactly how yours will look.
How does wedding personalization work?
Pick a monogram layout, send names and date, choose frost tint and ink — done. Most couples pair 16 oz bar cups with a date stamp near the base.
How many cups should we order?
Three per guest for a standard party, four for a reception, plus a third extra because cups get set down and abandoned. We’ll run your math in the quote.
Do cafes use these for daily service?
Yes — frosted PP is a signature look for iced lines, and case-tier pricing makes it a daily-service cup. Standing reorders keep plates and pricing locked.
How fast is turnaround?
Proofs in a couple of days; printed orders ship in about 2–3 weeks. Peak wedding months book ahead — six weeks out is comfortable.
How do I get a quote?
Send sizes, quantities, your design and the date through the quote form — you’ll get a wrap proof and itemized pricing back quickly.
